The Arts Club, the private members club founded in 1863 in London’s Mayfair, has confirmed plans to open its own boutique hotel. With inauguration scheduled for late 2014, the hotel will include 16 rooms housed in what used to be office spaces on the second, third and fourth floors of the club’s present home on Dover Street.
Featuring interiors by Sagrada studio (that has worked on the design identity the club since 2010), the bedrooms will display art works by Jacques Adnet, Gio Ponti, Finn Juhl, Piero Fornasetti and Hans Wegner, and the design focus will be on using high-quality materials in custom-made furniture pieces, such as embossed leather headboards, églomisé mirror panels, hand-tufted rugs, walnut doors and marble floors.
