Caudalie inaugurates UK flagship store and spa

French skincare brand Caudalie, which was founded in 1993 by Mathilde Thomas and her husband Bertrand using organic grapes as main ingredient, inaugurated its UK flagship store and spa. Located at 39 Monmouth Street in London’s Covent Garden, the boutique features exterior and interior design inspired by the Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte, Thomas’s family estate in Bordeaux where the grapes used in Caudalie’s products are grown.

The store’s front is painted in a dark burgundy colour to evoke red wine and, on the inside, images of the Chateau and its vineyards are depicted in flat screens, photographs and illustrations. In addition, large globe lamps designed to look like grapes, a barrel-shaped beauty, bar and furniture made from classic oak are used to conjure images of unspoilt nature and rustic landscapes with which the brand wishes to be associated.

The store offers the entire Caudalie range as well as the possibility to create a number of bespoke products. Facials and massages can be experienced at the in-house Vinothérapie Spa as either drop-in appointments or booked in advance.
