Foster + Partners and Heatherwick Studio have today unveiled the first images for their jointly designed Bund Finance Centre, a new mixed-use 420,000-square-metre development in Shanghai.
The project will comprise eight buildings (including two 180-metre towers) and combines offices, a hotel, a cultural centre, retail spaces and a large public plaza. Occupying a prominent site on the Bund, the development is part of a masterplan conceived as a point of connection between the old town, the Bund and Shanghai’s new financial district.
