French luxury brand Louis Vuitton has today named Nicolas Ghesquière as the new creative director for its women’s collections. The designer, who was formerly creative director at Balenciaga, replaces Marc Jacobs who stepped down from the role in October 2013 after 16 years in charge of Louis Vuitton’s womenswear.
