Issey Miyake Reality Lab by Tokujin Yoshioka

Drawing inspiration from the functional design of clinical laboratories, Tokujin Yoshioka has conceived the Reality Lab, the newest store for Japanese fashion label Issey Miyake. Located in Aoyama, Tokyo, the shop features exposed beams and raw concrete walls in light shades that contrast with the two distinctive blue and green coloured zones. Glass is used throughout the space to split levels and shopping areas, whereas garments seem to float by hanging from railings hidden behind neon-coloured aluminium panels and accessories are displayed on metallic shelves.

The store stocks Issey Miyake’s 132 5. collection of folding clothes, IN-EI pleated lamps, Bao Bao bags and garments from the new Homme Plissé menswear range.
