Irish architecture practice De Blacam & Meagher has completed a luxury villa as part of the new San Lorenzo development for the prestigious Quinta do Lago resort in the Algarve, Portugal. Designed as a large monolithic white structure, the villa is composed of a succession of rectilinear volumes that step up to a monumental portico on the garden side of the house. Whereas the low profile to the south creates a private entryway, the southern facade is open with large sliding glass doors that lead to a double height porch. A swimming pool extends the lines of the kitchen and dining area out into the yard with an outdoor eating area.
