French retailer Printemps has collaborated with textile designer and illustrator Frédérique Vernillet on a series of displays for the windows of its department store on Boulevard Haussman in Paris that brings the flora and fauna of the tropics to the city. Entitled ‘Inspirations d’Ailleurs’ (“Inspirations from Elsewhere”), the displays feature sculptures made from colourful paper and cardboard by artists Marianne Guély, The Makerie Studio and Little K. The pieces include representations of animals such an iguana, a parrot, a snake, an elephant and a falcon against a tropical forest background.
