According to a recent report by brand valuation consultancy BrandFinance, Olay has been announced as the most valuable beauty brand in the world, with a value of USD11.7 billion. The second place was taken by L’Oréal, which grew USD952 million in the past year (more than any other brand on the list), owing to a strategic focus in recent years on emerging markets such as Brazil and China. French and North-American brands dominated the list, with Dove being the most valuable UK-based brand (at number 7 and with a brand value of USD4.2 billion. Christian Dior was ranked the highest for designer cosmetics brands, in tenth place, with Chanel coming in twelfth.
