As another Valentine’s day nears, retailers have been resorting to diverse promotional activities to sell their goods. In this now firmly established fetish date of the retail calendar, some brands and stores have come up with more sophisticated ways than others to reach consumers. This year, The Conran Shop will be celebrating Valentine’s day with a ‘Love Shack’ that will be open until 18 March to sell 800 gifts priced between £10 to £10,000.
The gifts, which can be wrapped in up more than 20 bespoke gift wrapping options, are grouped according to six ancient classical love types: Eros, Mania, Ludus, Storgic, Pragma and Agape.
