Fashion designer Marc Jacobs has been announced as the new creative director of Diet Coke in the year that the drink celebrates its 30th anniversary. Jacobs will be joining forces with the drinks brand for one year that will involve designing a limited-edition series of bottles and cans, following in the footsteps of Karl Lagerfeld and Jean Paul Gaultier. To mark the announcement of the collaboration, Diet Coke has released a promotional film (see below) where Marc Jacobs gets naked inside a photo booth to revive the ‘Diet Coke man’ character that became emblematic of the brand for female consumers during the 1990s.
