Posthuman Wardrobe, the London-based menswear label designed by Nimesh Gadhia (featured previously in The Style Examiner), has shared the images for its Spring/Summer 2013 collection with me, confirming my personal believe that this is currently one of the most exciting men’s fashion labels around.
The collection is inspired by the quantum phenomenon known as wave/particle duality. This exploration of the physical world can be witnessed in light diffraction patterns translated into silver foil prints and asymmetric shirt panelling, or in wave patterns present in the drape qualities of splash-proof fabrics such as nylon and hi-tech Tyvek. At the same, architectural structures are applied to trousers via twist-seam technology to create three-dimensional shapes, and a palette of science-lab white, x-ray greys and clinical blues stresses the inspiration from the world of Physics.
