Givenchy has unveiled its Pre-Fall 2013 men’s collection, consisting of a range of garments that can safely be considered the most accomplished that Riccardo Tisci has designed for men over the last few years. The designer defined the collection as a range of “iconic recognizable shapes, fabrics, prints and looks” that shows a strong and elegant man “who knows how to mix couture and urban street elements” and who has “the confidence to play with his own look.”
Digital prints of dogs (Dobermans instead of the Rottweilers used in previous collections) contrast with elegant leather-panelled puff jackets and sharply tailored jackets and trousers. More subtly, the monogram HDG evokes Hubert de Givenchy, the founder of the label.
