Versace announced on 29 November 2012 that Jonathan Anderson will design a capsule collection for Versus, as the first of a series of collaborations which are part of the recently announced strategic repositioning of the brand under Donatella Versace’s creative leadership.
The collection, which will be launched with a presentation-event planned for April 2013 in New York, includes both women’s and men’s ready-to-wear and accessories. It will be sold on-line at www.versus.it and at a select number of department and specialty stores worldwide.
Born in Northern Ireland in 1984, Jonathan William Anderson studied menswear at the London College of Fashion, graduating in 2005. He launched the J.W. Anderson fashion label in 2008 with a men’s collection which several years later was accompanied by a women’s collection, and he won the Emerging Talent Award for Ready-to-Wear at the recent 2012 British Fashion Awards. He lives and works in London.
