Founded by artist and designer Cristian Zuzunaga in 2007, Zuzunaga is a design studio based between Barcelona and London that specialises in colourful fashion and home accessories. Following a collaborative approach to collective design production, Zuzunaga is made up of an international team of designers, illustrators, writers, and curators focussed on creating beautiful, colourful products that encapsulate the dynamic nature of modern-day city living.
Drawing inspiration from contemporary architecture and the ways in which the spaces of global cities like London, Barcelona, New York and Shanghai are constructed, Zuzunaga’s designs aim to combine a global outlook with local culture and crafts to reflect the unique characters and architectonic shapes that form today’s cosmopolitan cities. At the same time, the designers behind the brand strive to uphold sustainable and ethical ways of working, valuing handmade craft over mass-produced, trend-following products.
