Aldo Rise, the collaborations programme with fashion designers developed by footwear conglomerate Aldo, has unveiled images of the collection designed by New York-based designer Patrik Ervell that will be available in Aldo stores worldwide from 25 September 2012. Following the success of his menswear collections, Ervell launched an inaugural womenswear collection for Autumn/Winter 2012 inspired by military uniforms. Noted for his use of innovative and unusual materials such as vintage parachutes, horsehair, and gold foil, Ervell’s footwear range for Aldo Rise combines materials such as classic leather with utilitarian rubber soles and technical fabrics like nylon to create functional yet stylish footwear in colours including navy and plum.
