Luxury fashion and accessories label Yves Saint Laurent has announced the appointment of Hedi Slimane as its new Creative Director. Slimane worked at the fashion house as Artistic Director of Menswear until 2000 and is to take over from Stefano Pilati whose Autumn/Winter 2012 womenswear collection was his last for the Paris-based house.
Slimane will assume full creative responsibility for the brand image and all collections, as well as continuing to pursue his career in photography.
