Playing the Modern Architecture Game

Dutch architecture practice Next Architects have launched the second edition of The Modern Architecture Game.

The four principals at Next Architects unveiled the first version of The Modern Architecture Game on 30 August 1999 and distributed it privately at the Delft University of Technology. Now, over a decade later the team has released their second version: an international game produced in English with new questions that range across the breadth of modern world history.

Players can test their knowledge about the greatest architects, their famous buildings, and legendary quotes as they make their way around the board to win the game. The playing pieces are mini replicas of famous buildings from around the world, and if a player answers a question wrong they’ll be forced to wear Le Corbusier’s infamous round glasses.
