The Bodylovers is a new menswear label hailing from Italy that is taking its first public steps with its Spring/Summer 2012 collection. The man behind the label is Fabio de Felice, a former designer at Giorgio Armani, who felt the need to combine style and comfort in menswear after noticing a demand by male consumers to find comfortable jumpers that did not compromise on good looks.
In order to ally comfort and style The Bodylovers chooses the best and softest fabrics and yarns to go into the collection. These include cashmere, silk, and Makò cotton for Spring/Summer 2012 and royal baby alpaca, silk, cashmere and the best Italian wools for the forthcoming Autumn/Winter 2012 season. The label’s attention to detail is evident in the choice of sophisticated processes such as using various washing techniques to create natural-looking garments.
The focus on quality is also expected to be achieved by focusing on the design and production of capsule garments. As such, each collection by The Bodylovers is divided into three components: the printed T-shirt (that will vary in prints, colours and fitting each season), artisanal knitwear made in Italy (with limited editions), and knit accessories.
