Drapers magazine has reported today that online auction site ebay is planning to launch a fashion website in the spring of 2014 that will sell a mix of high-end high street brands as well as luxury designer brands.
The name of the site is not yet known but will be powered by ebay with mobile, rather than desktop, as the initial and preferential platform. It is understood that ebay has started discussions with retailers Reiss and Karen Millen as well as designer Marc Jacobs.
