The Collaborative Fashion of Uniforms for the Dedicated

Uniforms for the Dedicated was founded in 2007 as a collective of artists, musicians, film makers and designers who provide the influence and inspiration for the label’s fashion collections as well as for standalone projects under the Uniforms for the Dedicated creative umbrella.

Each Uniforms for the Dedicated collection is accompanied by a music release, conceptual artwork and a short film, while garments carry passwords for downloading exclusive content from the Uniforms for the Dedicated collective. Recent music releases have attracted remixes from a wide range of DJs and artists, while the clothing label has received awards for being one of the most promising new labels to emerge from Scandinavia in recent times.

The merging of different arts is not a new concept but when it comes to menswear, Uniforms for the Dedicated produce garments with an interesting edgy and urban look. The designs are influenced by a neo-grunge and eco-friendly approach to fashion and pieces include dropped crotch trousers, slouchy knitwear, rough cotton and linen mixes, and tough outerwear that intend to create a male persona that is part Scandinavian hipster, part turn of the century gentleman.

Uniforms for the Dedicated hails from studios in Stockholm and Gothenburg, Sweden, with additional showrooms in Oslo, London, Milan, Frankfurt, and Antwerp. The collections can be found in 150 retailers around the world, in countries such as Australia, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, UK, USA, as well as in numerous online retailers.
